Why they, then, trust governments is beyond me, since all governments are is a bunch of human beings equipped with the most dangerous of all tools: raw, aggressive power. So these folks appear to believe that men and women in the marketplace, since they are forbidden to use aggression to make things happen, simply are useless, whereas governments that wield such power are just the ticket for solving problems.
Perfect argument to use in conversation with people. If people are greedy and won't do the right thing, why give those same greedy people guns to do the job? Of course, then they may say "...but people in government care more than people in business."
Then after everyone stops laughing, perhaps they have all checked their premises...
